We are looking for a copywriter to work on a wide variety of SEO campaigns. This is a freelance, home-based role. Hours are flexible, provided work is completed within a given period (usually 1 week). SEO experience is desirable, but not essential as training can be given. Speed of writing, reliability and accurate English are essential.
Rate is £7/hr – £10/hr based on experience. The role is part time initially (6-10 hours/week), but can grow into a full-time role if desired.
You will have:
a) Good standard of written English (British)
b) The ability to research and write on a wide variety of topics, as we have clients in secotors ranging from IT to coffee importing
c) Familiarity with the Internet
d) Familiarity with social networks (Twitter, Facebook etc)
e) A good understanding of how people read and write on the Web, as well as of “Netiquette” (e.g. what the social rules are on various sites)
Most importantly you will be:
a) Quick
b) Self-motivated
The role will involve:
a) Keyword research
b) Writing blog posts
c) Writing articles (mainly list articles, eg. 7 ways to …)
d) Writing forum posts
e) Using various content management systems
f) Proof reading
g) Preparing regular SEO reports for clients
h) Writing email newsletters

W.W. Norton is publishing an anthology of Hint Fiction – a story of 25 words or less that suggests a larger, more complex story. The thesis of the anthology is to prove that a story 25 words or less can have as much impact as a story 2,500 words or longer. The anthology will include between 100 and 150 stories. Their definition of what constitutes SF, horror and fantasy is extremely broad and they love to see material which pushes at the boundaries.
