Adfero is looking for talented and enthusiastic writers to join its DirectNews division. DirectNews is a market leader in tailored online news and content provision. Our feeds appear on hundreds of websites from start-ups to FTSE 100 companies, from government agencies to leading charities.
Our writers produce news stories, features, blog posts and static content in line with client briefs. These entry-level roles offer the chance to publish a lot of copy; gain exposure to a wide range of commercial sectors; and learn about the basic principles of writing for SEO. Support is available for the preliminary NCTJ exams and there are frequent opportunities for rapid advancement.
The jobs are office-based, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The starting salary is £16,000 p/a.
We require a university degree, ideally in an essay-based subject; first-rate writing and subbing skills; a decent grasp of current affairs; and a sound work ethic. Formal journalistic qualifications are an advantage, but are not essential.
